My daughter visited this week and talked me into letting her try riding a bike. This morning we went out to the university, (big parking lots) went over the basics and away she went. She says she is going to take the MSF coarse later this summer in Minneapolis. Frankly, I'm not keen on her riding in the cities.

I'm also a dad of two pretty daughters and I have nightmares about them riding on a motorcycle. I think that just comes with being a dad. You have to step back and let them live; I wanted to keep my youngest home with me all the time, but you can't do that. It's hard to be the Pop sometimes. All we can really do is train them well and then turn them loose. I have faith in you, Dad.

I think having the kids share the ride is a great thing. Yes riding can be risky, but just breathing is risky.
Having them as riding partners can give you much enjoyment.

Both of my daughters love riding pillion with me. The likelihood of riding with them is is marginal as they have both settled 250 miles away and I only get to see them 3 or 4 times a year and when I go to the Twin Cities I take the car or truck.

250 mikes is just a nice ride. We travel that for lunch or dinner. Do not let that distance deprive you. Enjoy the family and the rides. Tony C
