Just thought I would post these, I have them in AutoCAD (if you have access to a plasma profiler) and I can email you a cad file.

All the dimensions are mm

anyone happen to have angle measurements? both for the centre line of the bolts from horizontal (or vertical), and of the faces themselves?

been curious for a while, but haven't been able to get a good measurement...

Leslie, did you modify the big boxy thing that your breather tube comes out of? Looks small and nice.

Oak,
The engine is as i got it, Ive only taken out of the frame removed the starter motor carbs and exhausts

We blank the carb inlet of here in the UK to cut down on our petrol costs of nearly $10 a gallon and fix pedals directly to the gear box:laugh:

Dave you reckon the engine is earlier than 1980.

Ya know, thinkin' back (like I can actually do that) I ordered a timing chain aduster cover for my scoot (which is a '79), and got the piece that is on your bike. It wasn't right. Forgot my bike is a '79, my motor is a '74. Ordered a piece for a '74 motor and got the right piece. So I take back my original statement. Follow the previous posters suggestion and check your numbers.

That is the late model breather box that appeared in 1980 I think. All earlier ones were larger and had 2 hose nipples. The assembly can be swapped onto an earlier motor if you wanted to.

5Twins , I am not putting the air box back on, I am going to fit a pair of Mikuni VM34s, Just wondering have you fitted one of the little filters that are for sale that fit straight onto the breather spigot.
