Any snowmobiler's here?

I hate you! I was just watching the videos for the 2012 line-up and that sled would be at the top of my list for sure!

I've had a couple of sleds but don't have one now. I had a 1998 Polaris XCF and 2002 Polaris 700 XCSP. I wish I still had the 700. A bunch of buddies of mine are getting back into snowmobiles after getting so much snow last winter. We all sold them years ago when the winters started to suck. I guess I'll hope for them that it snows as much this year as it did last year. I do have a friend with two older sleds so I'll still probably have a chance to get out and ride a little bit. :bike:

I've noticed the prices on used sleds are pretty high. Sleds that would have sold for $1,000 two years ago are now going for like $1,500.

Carbon I have bud that moved from Wisconsin to Florida about 5 years ago. He owns several Burger kings out there. He flies back to Wisco several times a winter to sled. When he went to try to get insurance for his sleds through a Florida agent, the agent just laughed at him.

As soon as the bike goe's away, the sled's come out, which will be soon, because it's getting cold here, and snowed a couple times. I have a Yamaha vector 4 stroke, the wife ride's a Polaris Indy trail, and the kid's ride a Ski Doo mini z. We all love snowmobiling, and on average i will ride 5000km a season.

Son and and I got our 9th annual Xmas week sled trip, in the Northwood's, in. 210 miles on the new sled. 107 mph topend and looking for more with some clutch work. 106 on his. Both of us happy.

Thats looks like sooooooooooo much fun Bro! good to do things with our kidds. BE CAREFULL 107 mph topend. how do the brakes work on those things?

Here, we prefer bigger snowmobiles like Skandic (made by Bombardier or BRP). My father-in-law just bought one, a 2012 Skandic SWT with the 600 H.O. E-Tec 2 stroke engine. This thing has a 24" wide track under it and compared to the previous model, it drives way better. The first time I drove it, I was really impressed. As soon as I fully open the throttle, the sled launch with the two front skis off the ground. I never see a sled with a 20" or 24" track that was able to do this before. Nothing can stop it in deep snow. This thing is a beast.
