Built this for a sidecar outfit :D

Where are these going? I demand answers !

I want that! It would also involve me spending more on the exhaust alone than I have on the rebuild to date...

Do you make your own y-pipes? I bought what I think is an old Mac 2-1 secondhand with what once may have been a muffler on it. I want to use the headpipes, which are in good shape, but the y-pipe is rough and the "muffler" is useless.

Hi Derek, I do and have made my own collectors before but that style is formed.

hi Scott, was wondering why the top clamps would need to be held back with springs like that. I know you said it was a "custom need" job - but I'm really curious about that.

:)

Hi Em, Long time, hope all is well :wink2: I built it to customer request. On some tracks they require everything be wired/secured as a backup plan incase something breaks, they don't want anything to fall of the bike and onto the track, that would be bad :yikes: All nuts and bolts are drilled and wired and anything else that can vibrate off is secured as well. Do you have a post of your bike on the forum? I would love to see how you came along

hi Scott, my bike's kind of the same as before - having engine issues at the moment.

Been thinking of asking you to make me a rear fender brace that loops over top of the fender and incorporates a simple mount for a trailer light. Was thinking it would look really cool if you made it to match the front fender brace I got from you. Either that size tubing or the next size down. Anyway, maybe we can talk about it when I'm to that point, and of course if your schedule allows! Hope all is well in your world. I understand now about the springs being added as a safety thing, for racing.
:)

Hi Em and Gordon,

The slip joint exhaust with springs is used on racing bikes to remove the exhaust quickly for servicing and the joint doesn't crack as much as others. At least that is what I always thought.

Just got my new pipes. Extremely happy with them.. Now I just need to coat and wrap them. One step closer to being done. Thanks again.

Hey Dude, Glad you like them :D I have the "Stacked Curved Drags" listed on my website now and a few new designs coming soon. New crossover pipe will be available on some hi-pipes as an option.

Mr Scot you are a exhaust Guru! Beautiful pipes. I like that x pipe, and look forward to how you use it on some high tracker pipes. I have a similiar x collector on my 2010 HD Roadglide on the header from Fuel Moto.

do you make a exhaust that comes from the engine then swoops under the engine? if so please contact me on a price
Thanks
Jeff H

Prices are so good that I might just buy my next exhaust instead of building it. I'm leaning to the curved drags for $185. Maybe next month...
