Just got the tank fender and seat set on still gotta do gold leaf and 2 tone the tank, been practicing with leaf but damn it's hard!

What does everyone think about the tank color? Not sure if I am 100% loving it

You know what it's not for me but it is unique and I do like it. How are you going to go with your bars clearing the forks up that high through the triples?

Xs650 bobbers are cool no matter what but so many have been done the same way so I wanted to do something that hasn't been done before, tank, brake setup, seat spring (which works awesome and is acually springy) bars, kicker that I made from a 50s bike pedal, etc. I did copy rim idea from many but I did add a little personal touch lol. Just hope my bike inspires many to think outside the ever growing box lol

Charleincharge09,

The bike sure is comming along, great thread as well. As for the color I think it is real nice but the leaf and two toneing will have a big impact so I will wait to see how that turn out. Is the color in the picture compared to live in person similar enough?. To me it looks like a copper tone.... real cool!

Keep it up

PS Nice fridge!

are u run'n a sealed stator? just ask'n cuz i didnt drill out mine in stator part of that cover think'n that there could be an issue with water or rain. and ur bike looks great im a big fan of the reworked and drilled out stock mags can wait to see it finished

not too concerned about water or rain, not gonna be much of a daily rider, not enough time to ride :(

Nice attention to detail regarding the brake reservoir, master cyl, and proportioning valve mounting.
Electrical box came out real cool too!

Thanks! I built the whole brake setup, drilled wheels myself, rebuilt my calipers and powder coated them, turned my rotors, built all the foot pegs and brake and shifter linkage, antiqued the head light, built my own petcock, painted everything myself, made the exhaust, rebuilt the forks, made the wiring harness, made the kick starter from a 50's pedal bike, ridged the fender and gas tank, made the handlebars, but I did unfortunately I didn't make the brake resivor, or the hardtail kit. It's turning out great and I'm loving this bike more than anything

The proportion valve was from ssbc I think, I had it laying around from a front wheel disc brake conversion off of my dads Pontiac lemans. Anyone ever get hassled for a yellow tinted headlight before? I'm a little scared lol

What tubing did you use for the fork portion of the clip on bars? I was guessing that .090 wall 1.5" would work, but I'd like to know for sure. I have a similar plan (don't worry, it's still totally different!).
