Leslie's Tracker Build

To bad things like this seam pretty cheap around here:(

Oh yes they are cheap. That's why I always buy many large and expensive parts directly from the States and have them come back in the trunk of vans and cars being shipped by a friend from California.
My Beetle Drag Car was build this way.

We have taxes on taxes and with shipping costs, some parts are just so much more over here. Also old car/bike spares.

Just take this for example. I wanted some wrinkle paint for my ally door panels last year.
This is what you have to pay for 1 can of VHT here in England.

I was on vacation for a few weeks in California last year and went to a hard ware store. They had wrinkle paint, not sure it was VHT, but still worked very well, for $3 plus tax a can, so I bought a box of 6.
With the exchange rate, the $ is always worth less then the £, but you can say most new performance parts are at least the same in £ as they are in $ plus some extra.

Hi there Leslie,
Any chance you still have the rear M/cylinder, that i see you're not using in this build,
i have a drum braked 650H, and want to go to disc, with a spoked wheel, so will need a M/cylinder, if you've still got it?, and would like to sell it?.

Cheers. John H.

hey nvr2late, I have the original rear brake set-up left over from my tracker build. I'll try and post up a pic later today.

Thanks Shakey, am hoping that using an XS 650 one, is going to be the easiest route for me to take, when i replace the hub-braked standard 16" wheel, on my 81H, allready have a suitable caliper, and a Radian swing-arm that i intend to modify.

I have got my frame back from the stove enamelers and now it is the final build .
