Vendor on local Kijiji labels these wheels as off an XS 650 - the sprocket looks too big and has more than 41 teeth - like 48 or so, I did not think that that size was ever fitted to an XS. The front appears to be correct. Seller is asking 200 for them with an extra front hub, so price seems ok. Is the rear wheel actually as advertised?

Cant see much of the rear hub but what I can see looks right. Ask for pictures of the other side, maybe one with the brake plate off. The big rear sprocket suggets it was used for offroading/desert riding so have a look to make sure the rims aren't warped. Lots of big rocks and holes out there.

Don't some of the sidehack racers and dirt people use larger sprockets?
The two piece rotor and aluminum hole cover on the left of the front hub say early production(72-73?) to me.

I wouldn't worry about the sprocket size, depending on his application maybe it was required. However both wheels look correct and in very nice shape for their age.

Looks like the sprocket boltpattern is correct... either an off-roader or drag racer would use that sprocket, but it would be pure hell on a street bike
