Is it possible to run blinkers with Hughs PMA, Pamco and one or two capacitors?
Okay.. what about stock blinkers?
lights won't come on until engine starts check the kill switch, known problem (check for 12v at the coils) you could also check for spark when kicking it over, starter button itself is also suspect, you can find wiring diagrams in the tech section, check for voltage on the red/white on the starter solenoid blue/white is the grounding wire (when starter button is pushed)hey guy's, i am new to the post. i just picked up a 79 650 special for free, and its in great shape. My friend just retired and didn't have room for the bike. I brought it home with the hope that it would just fire up, only because it ran when it was parked 3yrs ago. It has good compression. However, it has 12.9 volts everywhere, but the lights won't even come on or the starter engage, even when the key is proper. Ignition
Drill small holes, and use rubber grommets to prevent wire chafing.Would it be a problem to run my tag light wire inside my swing arm and come out near the rear axle on the left side where I plan to put my tag. Id have to drill into the swingarm. Any issues.
looks ok yes good idea to have a main fuse protects everything and the others protect those circuits, easy to isolate problems... just check the alternator wires carefully as to colors green and black is a grounded brush have to isolate it, green and brown you're good to go
