Hands Down best thread ever. This is my first post too. I absolutely LOVE the bike! I wish there were more Angry Monkey styled Xs's out.
 
I completly agree with that. I love the stlyle too. Best looking bike I've seen in the 30 yrs I've been involved with the XS. A work of art. Was that bike ever in the monthly contest here? If not it should have been.

this is a true beauty machine . i will be using the pic above as my wall paper. i am into my first bike project . my work will result in more of a rat bike i'm sure. this is a prime example of what is possible .
question: how did you mount your coil , is there an added braket ? i have the same high out put coil . i some stand offs to mount it to the stock braket . but i want to clean up all the frame ugly.

Thank you. The coil is mounted under the tank on a tab welded to the frame. I removed all the stock mounts, tabs, ect.

Is anyone else building this style bike? I thought it was the best XS chop I ever seen.

Jefft, No I'm not building one but I think in the begining of this thread he said that the Angry Monkey bikes were his inspiration for this build.
 
Yes he did say that. I was just thinking that during the course of his build others had responded that they were working on something similiar. I thought by the interest shown in his build that there would be more along the same lines. In a class of its own.

Hey Spades. I'm using a Cole Foster for my build. How did you end up doing the front mounting for the tank. Can't tell from the pics and I'm not seeing any gussets soooooooooo can you help me out?
 
Did the Aussie buyer complete the transaction ?.

Just interested as I haven't seen or heard anything about it over here...

Ive been telling my dad, brother and a friend of mine (we are all building xs650's) for a while now, the way i want to go with my build and have had a picture in my mind for yonks of the way i want it to look... i now found this thead and find a real life pic of an almost part for part build of my image I've had.... My cole foster tank is even already on its way from the states.... LoL .. Anyways,

I love the style and I love your bike bro !! Well done...
