:D:D:D

welcome to the forum Simon.... you'll get used to our sense of humour :D

Nice unmolested xs ,I quite like the colour scheme on your bike. I wonder if it is original?

The carbs "look like" 76-77 BS38 model? we will need to know that for sure to help with parts or replacement carbs.

Most of the bike looks like about 1976 1977 vintage also. I think I see points. Gauges look like that era. The plug wire attachment to the spark plug appears "interesting". But the steel rims have me wondering. Perhaps they were a local market thing, the steel being better for rough conditions?

thats a good suggestion  especially given the crash bars and panniers, which are rather nice incidentally :wink2:

Definitely an interesting varient for including in a good book on the subject.
When is someone going to write one I wonder

Uni-filters are about the best pod type air filters out there. Not very expencive either.
An interesting paint scheme. I have a very simular set of bags on my 75.
They have the rear turn signals mounted in the bags. The way yours are mounted is original.

Simon I will add another welcome to the site.
Are fuel cokes, petcocks or fuel valves?
If they are and they are weeping on the face side try turning the four holed washer over. It may buy you some time.

With that big ol red light mounted on the right side of the engine guard I'd say you were correct.

am very grateful for all your responses, am so inspired and i hope to do an overhaul to my bike

Simon Voti.

hallo Paul,
it must be really cool, well just tell me how much did they cost you from the US, otherwise am very pleased of you my friend.

Hi Simon,
Just wondering what kind of gas you have there? Not that it matters or has bearing on your problem.
