Thinkin about starting an xs club in portland

No starter in that diagram/ It's a kick only. That blue thing is a capacitor (takes the place of a battery.. When I said simple that's what I meant. I can give pointers and send people to diagrams, but I'm not the guy for wiring up a bike. I'll do it on my bikes because I can't afford to hire someone. I really don't enjoy doing it either, but enjoy the satisfaction of it running afterwards.

This bike is f*cken sick!

I'll should be up and running again in about 2 weeks. Ready to roll. Paint can wait till next winter:)

Matto-- Thanks. This is just the sort of info we need to satisfy our XS 650 obsession. I like to deal directly with local folks of similar interests

OK so i am a SLACKER but at least I got ya'll talking to each other... so my wife and I are in the middle of buying our first house so me and time don't co-exist at the moment, However,
I was out on saturday and pulled up next to a really sweet xs... it was a blck cafeish brat ish deal with a black powder engine and a tan seat.... very nice bike... WHO IS IT!?!

As for rotor surfacing, i have heard that the Napa in Beaverton does it for cheap and a decent job. That being said i have not used them, just had others recommend them...

I've used the Beaverton Napa for wifes vehicle.. 15$ per rotor. great job, but I don't think they drill patterns. Maybe they do?

BACK FROM THE BRINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ok guys sorry, bought a house and just finished moving!!! its has been one heck of an ordeal but it is time to get greasy again...

So back to business, I have heard rumors that a great ride would be out the gorge, and another would be in the west linn camas area, what do you all think we should get at least 15 bikes together and do this!

Yes, I am down for a ride whenever although it will be on one of my other motorcycles since the xs is still in process :)
