Free - With a Catch

Some recent members of xs650.com community have inspired me with their generosity, dedication, and willingness to assist. I appreciate their efforts and would like to start something that hopefully catches on and can further build up this community.

So here is the deal, I would like to start a ‘pay it forward’ type system. Post your extra parts, that didn’t work, didn’t fit, don’t need for FREE. I know I have everyone has something sitting around that we don’t really need and can pass along to someone who does. The person who takes the parts then posts something else up for FREE that someone else can use and so on.

Here are some basic rules:

- When posting parts indicate if you will cover shipping or parts receiver must
- Contact the poster for the shipping details
- Shipping can be cover by either the poster or receiver (consider possibly helping the part poster out with this)
- If you receive a part you MUST post another part for someone else to continue to ‘pay it forward’ within 2 weeks
- Don’t be a douchebag and actually make this work to give back
- Parts do not have to be brand new, but not garbage either
- Post pictures of part

So with that being said I have up for my offer:

I sold my '82 KZ440 and forgot to give the guy the extra gasket set I had lying around. I know it's not for the XS but hey if someone needs it. It's this one:

I have an almost new Uni air filter, 2 1/2" openeing ,4" lenghth that I tried to sell on e-bay for 10 bucks :wtf:

I really only used it to test out my new carb set-up with the 'Joe Wiseguy' 1 into 2 maniflod :thumbsup:

It works great :cool:

Anyone want it :shrug:

All the parts are Spoken for and shipped

Here's the front and rear wheel spacers and tach drive off a "77 standard. The shipping is on me via USPS small Flat Rate Box.

I'll take those springs. I will have a bunch of stuff when I finish the bike to give away. I had planned on doing this with a few of the parts. I will put somthing in here next weekend to help start this off.

Does it have to be for an XS? I'm a mechanic by trade I've got a couple of things which I've come across that someone could use.

I wound up buying a 100 pack of the McMaster screws that fit the butterfly on BS38 carbs.

I'd be happy to dole them out in packs of 6 (spares, ya know...) on my dime for shipping.

hell i have a handfull of parts here in the classifieds that im just trying to get shipping and lil gas or beer money for. not garbage parts but useable but still no for sure bites crazy.

Adding the springs I ended up not using. 3 inch hairpin springs I will have some more parts to add in when I get back from vacation.
