PAMCO Electronic advance

I'm going up to see Hugh at HHB tomorrow to do the final check on the 277 version of the E-Advancer. Should be interesting. One of the things that I have noticed when riding my '81/H with the E-Advancer is that it is much smoother because the rotor is not bouncing around because it is firmly bolted to the cam shaft. No wiggle or jiggle. The 277 is already smoother, so it will be interesting to see if the E-Advancer makes it more so.

Should have the rest of the E-Advancer orders out by Friday. Just waiting for those "special" washers to get here from the machine shop.

Some additional orders for the complete system are starting to come in as well, and I think that is the way to go for any future upgrades. Totally gets rid of the old ignition system.

Great news on the 277. Will grab one of those for the other bike when the time comes.

For the 14-0655 breaker plate screws I use 6mm socket cap bolts. I prefer these over a phillips head bolt any day.

Pete has them listed as being necessary on the older bikes because they simply didnt come with them. But they're just 6mm bolts - nothing special.

For those of you sitting on the fence, just go for it. After just a couple days of quick rides, I can already tell that this is a definite improvement. Smoother running, smoother roll-on acceleration through the advance point, and even better cold kick-starting than before!

Thanks again, Pete.

Did some in-house Testing and R&D with Pamcopete here at Hugh's HandBuilt today. Always good to spend time with Pete...

I'll say that testing the 277 System with and without a battery (Using a Hugh's HandBuilt PMA of course) went really well, but I'll let Pete fill you in on the rest of the details...

Hugh

Osteo, have you noticed any increase in mpg? Smoother running? Details!

Smoother running yes, and improved throttle response going through the advance point. MPG? I have no idea; too soon to say, and I've only been around town since the install.

Great! We are all waiting for actual user feedback. Any comments on the installation? I'll be sending out a bunch more tomorrow.

Hey Pete, I ordered an ignition from you last week through pay-pal, but I think they may have still had my old address on file, just checking to see if you have shipped it yet and to which address. If so who do you ship with?
I sent you a PM with my correct info.

Got both the ignition and advance installed. Installation was a breeze, followed the instructions and no problems. I installed these on a cafe I built over the winter. The bike hadn't ran in 8 months. Turned the key and started right up, put the timing light on and made just a minor adjustment. Great products!!!!

I sent you our copy of your order. It has not shipped yet. The address looks OK, but please check and confirm.
