I'm slowly but surely getting myself psyched up to make the trip from Newport to Cromwell to join the whole mob on the way back to RI. If anyone else in SE Mass or RI thinks this sounds more fun than painful, let's join up! Could be fun to roll a few XS's to the rally...

I am going to go (sort of)...
I have some stuff to do early Saturday, so I am going to head out (from Cranston) around 1:00 on Saturday and ride west on route 6 until I see a bunch of bikes, then turn around and join the ride into Providence. I will look out for you at the end unless by some chance I see you on the road!
My bike is a 77 (well most of it is) with a blue tank and black Omar's café tail.

I gotta say, the local forecast for Saturday is not looking so awesome! A 250-mile day with 40-50% chance of thunderstorms on a fenderless bike is not high on my list... but unless it's completely washed-out, I'll at least get to Providence in the afternoon!

Westin, I should have called you.my carbs would probly be on by now.thought I had carb boots in garage but came up with two sets of bs38 boots.need the 34s. lost your number with my old phone. im a jack ass,i kept thinking to myself,(self) who do I know with an xs650 who would have a set of boots. did not think of you.where is my head,they where right under my nose. been meaning to get in touch anyways.need to get a shirt from your shop.hope all is well, I,ll bring you a shirt from my business.local shops need to support each other.

It's a small world kept going threw my mind as I went threw all these post's.Up here we have bike night gatherings filled with classic bikes.I ended up with my XS after a customer ran out of money and the bike wasn't even half complete.I had no idea the XS was so popular.I would love to see a White Mountain bike ride-any one else?
