Thinkin about starting an xs club in portland

Did anyone ever get together? Been riding all the time since being back from Japan. Trading the XS for a Kawasaki triple 2 stroke this weekend. So I'm going to have to leave the gang.

I still have a bad fork seal, almost lost her and then busted my wrist wrestling her back from the brink.... 75 on a corner and fork oil flying out like a teenager with his first girl. Dropped to the right hard. Put my arm down and gunned it. Pulled out at the last second. Thank god i didnt drop my baby but damn my wrist hurts

I think poorman9 said he got a pic mid ride. It was great to meet you all, hopefully next time I can be on my XS!

sorry folks.. I was camping this weekend and the xs moved on to the next owner. I'm now riding this crazy tripe 2 stroke that is like an amusement ride. I love the XS engine and I'm positive that I will build another sweet ride soon.

I love those two strokes! That one looks like a diamond in the rough. Have fun with it.

Those Kawasaki triples were diamonds in the rough when they were brand new! Cool beyond just about anything out there. Mach III? Mach IV?

BTW, I know I can broaden my search, but I'm asking here since I live near Hillsdale (SW Portland) and I like to buy local for a number of reasons:

I'm still looking for a stock tank for my 75 XS650, without dents or rust inside. Paint can be awful since I'll be trying different colors anyway. The 75 tank has 2 petcocks and a center-mounted hinged gas cap. Would appreciate any leads. teflon97239@yahoo.com

On that subject, is there a particular brand of rattle can paint that is somewhat resistant to gasoline spills?

Let's keep trying to meet up with the bikes. Many of us are doing last minute summer vacations and stuff - like me. But I sure want to participate when it works. Thanks fellers.
