VStar Front End onto XS650??

Has anyone swapped a Vstar 650 front end (tree's n forks) onto a XS650 and if so what modifications would it take to make this happen. Looking for any reccomendations. I like how it looks and want to try it but don't want to waste money on something that won't work.

I feel like any forks can work, idk if there is a play by play to how its done. but I can't be to hard just get the steering tube length right and order some custom bearings from all balls and you should be good to go.

I can't say yea or nay to your question. The main thing on doing front end swaps is the steering stem. Will the lower tree from the Vstar bolt to the XS650 frame? If not you just swap the XS650 stem into the Vstar lower tree.

I just thought maybe someone jumped through the hoops to do a Vstar swap and had some insight to share, but you right each one prob is a case by case basis.

Hey Leo thank you for the info,
I'm gonna find out if it will fit soon, as i just bought the tree's off a 05 Vstar for $27.50 best offer on Ebay so we'll find out what it takes to make it happen soon LOL.

No, but I have the complete frontend tree's n forks n going to check it out soon, the box it's in is unfortunately buried as of now since moving into a new garage n shop to work in but ask again soon to remind me and i'll check i think i looked quick and i think, just a guess here but may have to swap the stem.
