Welded a tab on pipes. That mounts underneath my peg area. But mount broke since I hit my gate rail that's only about an inch high everyone I take my bike out. Lol. Love the sound of the pipes though. Deciding if I want to go custom or just keep these till they fall off.

Right on.
The weight was a concern i had along with mounting. Im gonna try to find a simple way to mount underneath thats solid. Ill put it on here when I get it done.

Hello there, it was made up by the chap building the bike. I modelled it on a luggage rack I saw on a Bonneville Street Scrambler that I saw on a Triumph Rat Forum. We finished it off in matt black, Regards

Well folks, I clicked onto this thread to get some ideas for my project and now I'm totally confused as to which way to go. What I found along the way was a bunch of people who can only be described as a brotherhood. I'm so glad to be even a small part of this. As nice as the bikes are, the real entertainment for me is looking at the background images. That tells me more about the builder than the bike itself. So far my favorite image is the dartboard placed against the window. I fell off my seat laughing. Keep it up guy's, you all rock.

Today is my first day posting on this forum. Heres my xs 650 I roll in grand junction Colorado it s a 80 and a blast to ride.

I just traded George for this bike. Already ripped her apart....going to change up a few things.

What is the best looking speedo to use? Maybe a tach would be cool too. The bars feel too high to me. Maybe I'll install a flat bar or clip-ons. Advise/opinions welcome.

Hi all. I bought this moto recently off a local guy. Price and look were right so I couldn't pass it up. This is his pic, maybe you've seen it before. I don't have any pics of my own yet as I want to do a lot of work to it before I go snapping pics of it. Bike needs a lot of the custom welds fixed or replaced. Needs some minor welding of return spring mounts. Tank also needs sealed. Original owner said he thought the clutch was bad and that it didn't have any top end but I ripped down the street at way over 60 yesterday and even brings the front wheel up on 1st and 2nd. Doesn't hurt that it has a lightweight yzr front end and mag wheel. I'll give specs on another post but for now here she is.

Nice bike George, well done from Sydney, Australia. You and I have the same taste in colours, the classic Yamaha black and canary yellow!

I think the yellow was the thing that I hated most about it. Of course it was all powder coated to hell too. Took me a fully day to strip the wheels. I drilled a bunch-o-holes in them as well.

My 1981 XS Special II. I just started a build thread for this bike... still not done, but up and running and looking good for now! I did all the leather-work and stuff. Hope you like it.

Took advantage of a nice 50 deg day, went for a blast. The more I ride this bike the more I like it. Even if it is a old 1979 beater.
