I've owned a number of XS650's over the years, including a new XS2, none were as good as this 83! I tried to post pictures to this entry but nothing seems to work. Please visit purplezinger's photo album (it's public) to see the latest pictures. Color is black, asking $1900. Located in central KY.

How many miles on it?
What's been done recently, upgrades?

I've had this one 3 years, the second owner (a friend) had it nearly 20 years. *He's a very meticulous guy, kept good service records and receipts but really didn't know 650's very well.
*Since I've had it, I've flushed and refilled the forks, installed a brembo brake disc and replaced ball bearings in the triple tree with roller bearings.*
I repaired the torn sump filter, installed one piece clutch push rod, replaced the push rod seal. It has a power brake valve on the crankcase vent to keep a negative pressure in the crankcase while running.
I installed brass head bolt washers and it now has a Honda CBR 600 ignition coil (the original Yamaha coil failed). Cam chain adj, valve adj, spark plugs, oil changes, etc.
New battery this past summer.*
You can see in the photos I replaced the bars, stepped seat, rear fender and tail light. The original parts also go with the bike. The odometer has 29900.*

Happy to do it, nice bike. I still kick myself for letting my 83 go to a new home.
