Wrinkle black finish is being applied to the first of the engine parts. The whole engine will be done this way.

Hey mate looking good! Can I ask who did the ceramic and zinc coating? I called a local mob to get my pipes coated (newcastle) and they wanted quite a bit for it - more than it'd cost me to get a set of ceramic coated pipes shipped from the states!!!

G'day Austblue.

The ceramic coating was by Hi Octane Performance Coatings http://www.performancecoating.com.au/ and the zinc plating was by Elite Plating http://www.eliteplating.com.au/

Monday, 6th January 2014 - We've got colours!

Here's some more progress pics showing the bike starting to come together with it's painted finishes.

The tank, guards and helmet will all get some gold pin-striping, along with some gold leaf writing on the sides of the tank.

Matching headlight and taillight assemblies

Rough mock up of the motor. Still needs a bit more tidying of the fins, a polish of the oil filter cover and cleaning of the mating surfaces before final assembly.

Saturday, 01 Feb 2014 -Stripe me lucky!

I managed to make my own vintage style spark plug lead covers with a cheap and cheerful rope from the local hardware. I also managed to make my own leather washers as these are really hard to find. I made them to help protect the final finishes and reduce vibrations (slightly).

Yesterday I finally got the pin-striping done. I only need to wait for the enamel to cure for a few days prior to final clear coat, sanding a buffing.

Monday 03 Feb 2014 - We have a heart!

Saturday was a huge step forward in getting Thor's Hammer completed and on the road. Darren Millichamp of DNA Custom Motorcycles and Michael my brother (who is also the painter) helped me bolt the motor together.

To say that I'm grateful for their help is an understatement!

Awesome build man, good to see another Aussie on here, love the stone guard headlight, do mind me asking where you got it from?

Sunday, 16 February 2014 - Pretty bits!

So here's how she looks with the pretty bits attached.

Still have plenty of fiddling about to do on her before she's ready to start-up.

Thanks to my brother, Stan and Damon for helping me over the last couple of days.
