I'm working on a cafe style build. I'm wanting to upgrade the rear swing arm to something stronger. I bought a couple of yz rear swing arms and they use the same size swing arm bolt, and if you use the stock XS thrust washers ,it will fit right in the frame. I will have to have shock mounts added, because these are off a mono shock bike. The problem so far is they are about 3 1/2" longer than stock, and I'm not sure what it will do to handling, It does make the bike look stretched when I mocked it up. But that might not be to much of an issue as I'm also going with a GSXR600 forks.I like the looks of the inverted forks ,and I'm trying to come up with a retro/new look for the bike.I'm just in the planing stage right now, trying to get all my parts together.
Anyone have some ideas. This is the first time I have tried building a bike, I'm 60 and just starting my 2nd child hood.:) I don't have a way to weld the aluminum and not sure if I can get a shop to let me hang there while they shorten it if need to.

that's bout perfect I built this one last year and other then a bit of an issue on big turns cuz of the soild pegs its fine and it's 6 1/4 over.
