hi everyone :),

I'm Phil ,live in Belgium ( little country between france and Holland)
and of course very in to bikes .

Own a Yamaha R6 for track use and modified this 1980 ( or around that time ,not completely sure ) with my mates .i like the norton Manx a lot so made it a bit like one .
it rides superbly ,I'll pick riding the oldie over de R6 any time .

Got it on the Dyno yesterday just to get the jetting 100% .

Got 48,2 hp at the wheel and a topspeed ( without headwind of course ) of about120miles per hour wich is very ok I think for an old lady ;)

Welcome to the site! Thanks for posting. Your xs650 looks great and sounds good too.

What's that tank from? I love how clean it looks with the empty space under the seat and no fenders.

thx mates ,

The rearsets are from Tarozzi ,got'm on http://www.ftr-classic-motorsports.nl/FTRPrijslijst.html costs around 130€ (around 150-160 Dollars ?)

The tank was made by a friend ,handbuilt from scratch ,starting with a sheet of Allu ! He's God  (costs normaly around 1000-1100 dollars ,but you chose and design the complete tank to the last inch or rounding )
His site : http://www.streugmetalshop.be/

I chose the Manx seat with the opening cause like you wrote ,I wanted it to be as open as possible .I installed a small gel battery unde the hump of the seat after another friend welded a new subframe to make everything fit as tightly as possible :)
It was all so tight that I forgot I had to install the electric rectifier ( ? don't know the right term for it sorry ...) so i had to put it on the swingarm .
it's ok ,i don't want my bike to be TOO clean either ,it's got to live a little .
just took it down for a ride this afternoon ,It was sweet .everybody jammed in traffic ,and there I was cruising around ,relaxed to the beat of the twin and savouring the sound of the exhausts

Saw an older guy looking and waving to me to rev it so I gave him every
gear till 8000revs ,I think he was pleased
:D ( and so was I )

Or Crash ,If you mean "the set" buy a complete kit for the bike ,it doesn't exist .my friends and I worked on it for about a year ,every day a bit here and there till the money ran out and again a month later and so on ...
everything you see except for the rear sets or throttle grip for example is home built ;)

- looking at the 4th photo you can see that the footpeg folds up
