It's been some time since my last post (sounds like a confesion) and I have sinned. My XS has not seen the light of day until yesterday.
My riding time has been shared with the F800Gs and the new HD. 14000kms on the BMW sofar and 3000 more on the plan before the snow flies. Managed to put 3500kms on Heritage Softail as well.
I did put 1200kms on the XS, with temp. plates however it's pretty expensive at $10.00 per day.
It's all shined, polished and loaded on the trailer. I know, the trailer, however I cannot afford 3 plates in Manitoba, it's over $4500.00 per year.
My XS is off to one of the best "show n shines" of the year here in Winnipeg. All car and bike competition.
The XS placed Second in the Classics.....to a 1931 Indian...( my friend Dave brought out the big guns to win this one)
Over 50 bikes in 3 categories....Sport, Custom and Classic.
Will post photos when I get back from my 10 day dual sport ride through North Western Ontario.
Thought those were Ronal Turbo wheels when I saw the first pic. I like it! I also like the fact that I see a VR6 shoe-horned in there! I had a MK 2 GTi with a 98 Passat VR6. Big doors, 98 dash conversion... god I miss that car!
Well, this is the last time this one of mine will be seen in one piece, ive stripped her this week, sold everything except the tank which Ive had since '78 (It was on my first newXS) and the rear shocks (poached 'em of an XJ750 I owned, far superior to XS ones)....
I got bored, theres two more waiting restoration.assembly (one Ive had for 20 years)
