"Thug Life"....My Build

The owner had mentioned before he sold this bike that he was doing a photo shoot for possible magazine exposure. Does anyone know if it showed up in any of the bike magazines?

I'm starting to get the itch to build another bike this winter. I've been gone too long.

That bike was my all time favorite and I haven't seen anyone else build one on this "Angry Monkey" style. That bike was beautiful. Hope the next one is along the same lines.

Thanks Jeff. I've regretted selling this one all year. If I build another, I won't stray to far from this build.

Bro that bike is my background on my laptop. It inspired me to start collecting parts. My style is a bit different but I am using the same frame, tank, forks, and a similar rear fender. Handlebars, wheels (Fatboy rims), powder and paint will definitely be different. Great bike

Ok so Im wishing I wouldent have come across this thread because I think you just motivated me to tear down my xs1 chopper and model it after your build. Sick Bike! Nice Work!

Its worth the time to look at some of Dan Patterson's builds over on Angry Monkey Motorcycles. The ones he builds look a lot alike but when you got it right why change it.

I'm trying to post a short video clip. If you click on this can you see the video??

Hey Spades, The Bike you Built Is Totally Awesome!

Do you have any pic's for how you mounted the Cole Foster Tank?

I have one I want to use on a bike i'm gonna build starting in Nov for the Build Off and any advice would be appreciated as to how you went about mounting your tank.

Thanks
DJ Dave

Yea I guess you could say that "Thug Life" build was fairly popular with 22,000 views. LOL

I can't wait to see it. Are we going to get to follow along here? Hands down the best one I ever seen. I am a big fan of Dan Patterson too. Is the next one going to be same style?

Awesome build. Maybe late in the game here but I have a custom and sometimes want to kill the builder. So, how does one check the oil on it with those pipes? My builder put the key down by the exhaust and the battery/fuses to where I have to drop the rear tire just to check them. Oh and yeah my 'custom' gas cap flew off on the freeway and at risk of life and limb I recovered the wingless twisted chunk of metal to get back home with. And no front fenders and no front brakes are nice until you only have to get caught in the rain. Because no one ever cuts you off in the rain. But you made it to sell it so that problem belongs to someone else now. A very pretty machine to look at I have to say.

There are many, many custom bikes out there representing all brands. No fenders, no front brakes, minimal seat, handelbars to the moon, no turn signals, kick only etc. I might be wrong but I think these guys are making some trade offs for style/looks and probably ride them on nice days and close to home. I wouldn't designate one as my cross country ride. I still think it is a very nice looking bike.

No contesting that it is beautiful but just saying, and have a look in my album so I know about minimalizing. I hate that I have to buy a front fender but I ride mine daily and it just outta no where starts raining here. Not a cool nice breezy rain, but, a remind you your in hell kinda blow you over dirty humid rain. You just gotta know that rain and idiots happen no matter when or where you are. But seriously... how do you check the oil?
