This accident happened yesterday here in Calgary. Initiating factors as I see them...........young driver, powerful bike, very high rate of speed, high traffic density.

May long weekend and the summer motorcycle crashes are starting. There have been a lot of crashes and deaths with bikes, the last few years. I was hoping this year might be better, but seems to be following the same path.

This may sound cruel, but things like that help weed out the stupid.
The only thing about this weeding it can take out the innocent also.

There is a reason we call those bikes "donor" cycles, any bike can be one but it seems that the crotch rockets attract a certain type of rider. Hate to see anybody get hurt, but if those circumstances surrounding the crash are true, then it is ultimately on the rider, and their fault. Always ride defensively. A friend of mine is fond of saying "55 stay alive". Seems to be true in the case of speed junkies. Ride safely fella's, I cant stand seeing these types of stories.

I have noticed bikes are getting very popular. Some drive like they are invincible. I hope we all remember how fragile our body is and take it easy. Stay away from the edge, ride safe!

This morning, a motorcycle and a deer collided during the morning rush into the city of Calgary. Both rider and deer reported as dead.

8 fatalities in Anchorage so far in 5 accidents Since April 15th. 3 in one accident... took out 4 riders when s texting teen rearended a paused turning truck launching it into the oncoming pack.

Further to the accident that I mentioned above in post #5. The driver was 56 years old, and he tried braking for 20 metres, but his luck just ran out to-day.
