I ran a fake oil bag also, not as big and without a filler neck like that.

Next run around I'll be stuffing what remains of the electronics into the headlight bucket I think. I'm running a 7" headlight with a bullet style shell, so there should be enough room in there for a few inline fuses.

Here's what I did. No welding involved. I don't have a finished pic, but the tiny battery and fuse panel is mounted on the top of the piece of steel under the seat.

You can make up a small box like I do for my harnesses and put it in a lot of locations

Bent / Riveted aluminum sheet metal. Battery is gone and now there is a Capacitor mounted on the bottom. The R/R is mounted on the bottom as close to the capacitor as possible.

Key switch is mounted in a gusset just tucked behind the sidecover (when the sidecover is on).
