mikes xs ignition switch trouble

hey,

i just received my new mikes xs ignition switch in the mail.

i have a 81 special australian delivered. so i bought this ignition switch, which is the correct one:

i took out my old one and it has 4 connection in the plug and several more wires on the back where as my new switch only has three connections and wires??

is this correct?

am i meant to hack into the loom somehow or is it the wrong switch?


it looks identical in every way but the wiring....


PLEASE HELP!

Nobody ever helped with this? I am buying a new switch today and this is the same one I am considering. Did it ever work out?
