Dropped Hugh an email but never heard back. Anybody know if his hydraulic clutch conversion kits are available? I've got a snapped clutch cable and money in my pocket...
thanks, CB:confused:

Thanks for the plug Dog. I am doing cover mods with all of the associated hardware at the slave cylinder end and I have been approached about doing the parts as a kit for those who feel they have the skills and tools to do the machining portion so that is another available option. If you are interested in a parts kit with instructions or would like to have me do your cover and supply the parts shoot me a PM.

Man, if you come up with a great kit, they will sell like hotcakes. I found the pitbike parts to be of questionable quality (inconsistent really) so I didn't wanna keep offering parts for them.

To the OP - you should have had a response from my surely? I never miss an email unless it went to my spam filter.

If I remember right he said on facebook he is not doing the lines either.

Yes,but he also stated that since parts outside of what he supplied were reliable,he was no longer offering them.

Go hydraulic from Aprilia or Ducati. If Ippytattoo is producing the kits, throw your money at him to get one fabbed up for you. Don't screw around with the cheap Chinese crap on eBay. Nothing worse than losing clutch control miles from home, so do it right the first time. Just my 2 cents.

I've got one of those hydralic conversions from Ebay. It looks ok, but decided to go with a Ducati slave setup, bit more beefy.
I'm in process of converting it but we're at the beginning stage of the
teardown rebuild, so won't have it running for a few months.
Long and short of it from an engineering standpoint its an easy mod. Slave goes over current adjustment window, Remove current actuater, pull clutch rod out to where it just protrudes from adj. hole, slide slave over rod, slide back to surface of cover, mark for 3 holes, punch mark, drill three holes, tap for screws, make longer clutch pushrod out of 8mm hardsteel, 243mm long, turn one end down to 6mm dia x 14mmlength from end, chamfer both ends.
Haven't executed this yet but has every indication a slam dunk.

If you're interested in the hydralic setup like HHB posted Contact me off line. it's all complete.

What Ippytattoo said.
But....If you're mechanically inclined, there's no reason why you cannot fab one of these up yourself. I bought my clutch assembly on eBay, and went through the steps Osteoderm mentioned in his post. I really like how mine turned out, and it's easy on the hand when waiting at stop lights.

Like the man says, it's a slam dunk. Easily the best mod with the greatest benefit for the least time, hassle, and money of anything I've done on my bike. Gratifying to see that other people are going this route!
