Just thought id pop on to say hi, just got me first XS650 choppybobber after years of riding jap plastic, bloody love it, used this site for charging, wiring and carb help, totally invaluable, thanks to all who contributed to this priceless info.
Been riding all this weekend, my bloody bum hurts! yay for bobbers!
Will stick some piccies up soon when ive un gayed it a bit and made it mine, anyone on here seen Poachers Ride before?
Also, any info on decent peanut high sitting tank availability in the United Kingdom?

Will get some pics up this weekend, i have no idea who built the bike, but i can say i dont think they really rode it.
Im taking the fucker to work and back everyday, i need shares in Locktite!!
So far....
Lost both tank bolts, had to hold the thing on with both knees to get home.
Lost rear plate and tail light, i say lost, i mean the bolts rattles lose and i started to tow it behind me on with the rear light wiring.
Various bolted on bits have gonna astray (now im getting used to that CHINK CHINK CHINK sound of metal bouncing down the road behind me into the distance and not really giving too much of a shit about it!)
Battery literally falling out becoming a rear wheel chock! ( i need a tiny little thing so i can hide it away, maybe in my pocket )
Fuckin arse is sore, arms ache, Right leg is fucked, and gonna be twice the size of my left one soon! stink of fuel all the time and covered in shit by time i get to work!

Poachers ride is the name the guy gave the bike, so far i think its a yamahondaukiumph, but defo a xs650 engine, thats the only part ive had no bother with!!
Its red, very red, red as fuck, did i mention the bikes red?
Im a kind of matt black guy, been into the VW scene for years, so its getting hit hard with the matt stick soon, bit of striping, lose some shiney bits and done, i will get the pics up soon, but DONT JUDGE ME!!! lol You can judge me later once ive fucked the thing right up

thees do mean Soufmeed, innit?
My dialect has temporarily returned as I just got off the phone with my sister in Corsham.
It's hard to see but does the front brake have a swivelling caliper with tapered brake pads?
If so it's most likely from an XS750/850/1100 Special.
And it does say Poachers ride on the tank.
But red? You sure it's red? Not a macho shade of pink?

Not sure on the front brake, i will take some more pictures tomorrow and if you guys could help by identifying what bits are from what that would be a huge help for me, ive sussed some of it (like the front wheel, i mean, it sais Triumph on the rim so i can cope with that! HAHA)

The pipes really have grown on me, i did wanna fit forward controls, which would mean losing it or reworking it but i might just leave that idea for now, the tank also has grown on me, dont wanna clone other stuff too much, so i think ill just clean it up a bit and paint it now.
Bling de clutters going well, i just ride the thing and things decide they want to leave all on their own.
I appreciate all your help and input guys, and the very warm welcome to the forum.
