xs650 build off 2014!!

good times nice meeting everyone! are there any shirts left? i forgot to see about getting one sunday morning, had only breakfast on my mind. will definitely be coming back next year hopefully with a few others instead of solo. ill try and make a few parts on the lathe to give to people in the build off next year too.

"Arizona" is back in Arizona, just got in. Can someone help unload my bike? I had a great time, checked all the boxes, met some great people, looked at cool bikes and listened to some good stories, even got to ride the bike. Thank you all for a great weekend!

I wish I'd have checked this thread before now. I teach in Napoleon ohio literally 20min from pandemomium in defiance...I live a little less than an hour away and could have stopped over and put some faces to names and hung out at least.

My bike wasn't done until after the weekend but next year I'll be sure to head over!!!!!

I have a few pics.

This is the 75' we brought. My Shop helper Cody rode it the whole time up there, never an issue with it. It has been the new "HHB Shop Mule" and we do all of our testing and R&D on it.

I snapped all of these images while riding "Ol Crusty"

This was a dude from Texas, this bike had some sweet leather work on it. I wanna say PJ? I'm terrible with names.

Tevan and I caught in the mirror of our Chase Truck, somewhere along the way. Tevan ran his 72' Resto-Mod XS2 that entire trip as well. Not a single issue, 13 hours straight and 600+ miles...

It was LONG 13 hours of riding from NC to Ohio, but we made the entire trip without a single hitch. 3 rainstorms, and 1 overheated Toyota truck along the way, but the bikes never had a single issue...

3 cylinder diesel with 50lbs of boost... I rode that thing Saturday and it's absolutely amazing how well built this machine is.... Well that, and going 120+mph on a lawn tractor is something I'll never forget.. #passinghousesliketheywerepicketfences @dethmachinefabrication - thanks for letting me ride this, I'm still on a High from it.... #speedjunkie

Hey All
Thanks for the pic's Hugh

Man sucks i missed it this year.

Whats the status of planning for the next one? Does it start Nov 1st?

I hopefully will have all my shit together for this one, along with Title issues resolved for last years bike. I finally got ahold of the previous owner in Colorado and can clear up that one so i can finish it, and I will make sure I have a good clear and in my name title before this new buildOff Bike gets too far along.

I just got all the materials together for my Powder Coating Oven and will start building it soon. So any info would be awesome for the 2015 buildoff. Oh hey Irish, when you say third weekend in August do you mean the 20th 21st 23rd? I know sounds lame but the 1st is on Saturday and some may consider that the 1st weekend.
thanks

i just looked and the only picture i took as of the pan chop with tittys molded into the tank. so bad ass. cant wait for next year!
