1" of snow last night but more importantly the sand/salt trucks were out this morning. Garage and work bench now til spring rains wash the roads clear again. The 2014 riding season RIP!

gggGary,

Well, even here in the sunny south, it's winter, but we usually get a few days even in the December to March period when you can still venture out for a ride. My threshold of pain used to be 40F, but I have added a degree per year since 1996 so it's up to 58F now.

It is all over for me and the XS, I will push the non-runner from the shop up to my heated garage and maybe it will be a runner before spring. If there are warm days I can still ride a Honda if I really need to ride. One inch of snow and temps in the 20s, I'm done for a while. My threshold is up to 60 or so, getting old is no fun.

Yup. Put the dottir's Ninja to bed this morning.

Gonna pull the engine out of mine, so no prep just yet. Be a while tho, got two other projects scheduled for that bay first. Not motorcycle-related, unfortunately...

OTOH, I'll be thinking about you next July/August when you're sweating yer can off in a Speedo and can wring a glass of water out of the air...:yikes:

It does get hot here in the summer  but hell it get hot most every where in the summer here in the lower 48 and I will take my next 6 months of cool riding.:bike: over snow
Airwolfie! You make me chuckle

-4 degrees this morning with a pleasant 20mph breeze. At least the snow stopped. I guess it's time to tear the bike down for paint. Or find some chains for it.

This is off the subject, but why does my signature not show in my posts?????
