here is the start to this the project a "custom" 81 xs650 bobber that I think the original builder bought everything from tc brothers. ill be change'n most of the bike with the idea to keep it simple and a good rider with just a bit of flash. but get rid or rework the over used tc bros parts that are all over this thing.

Traffic ninja.. lol everything is high and narrow to most with mids so they can split lanes in heavy traffic

Catching one of those non folding pegs on the side of a car would have you splitting something.....

Carry on, surely you can't make it worse. :wink2:

Haha, OK, "Designed for Urban Combat", got it, thanx.

Might hafta try that out here for "Deer Dodgin'"...

hahah that is a hilarious comment TwoMany

Project looks like a good starter, always cool to see what guys change on already modified bikes like this.

I've got a fix for those controls gggGary they'll fold when I'm done and the only way this could get wrist is with a DNA springer lol

I've ridden enough rigid frame bikes to know that they ain't unsafe, they are just uncomfortable.
But removing the front brake?
That's just suicidal.

I haven't had a front brake in about 6yrs and if u think this one looks suicidal u should sew my daily rider foot clutch hand shift steel seat pan ridged with no front brake and hasn't ever had one

Looking really good Irish! Looks like the PO had some cash in all those parts. Thanks for taking them off. Ha

Yeh i dunno. Maybe the other drivers where you live are all good. But where i live they are mostly shit. Ditching the front brake and only using a crummy old drum rear is a quick way to end up mashed up under some soccer mum (mom)'s oversized Landrover. But you know, each to their own... Front does look dope though!

Yeah, like the guy who claims that unprotected sex with strangers is safe because he ain't ever got the clap.
Yet.

I like lane split style bikes. Very minimal. I'm a fan of the 23" front wheel. But the rear wheel looks so itty bitty in contrast. Maybe find an 18" wheel in back to balance it out?

I have the front brake debate every time i build a bike with out one. Its a personal choice I've rode and owned bikes with them. I just always used the rear brake the only thing I ever used the front brake for was burnouts. The back is go'n to disk so it'll stop much better and I'm still in the air on the 23" cuz I do plan to sale this one and front brakes make people feel safe
