test fitting a new tank...

Similar to what I'm using on my chop. I found that after I cleaned up all the gussets and whatnot under the tank it flowed and looked a lot better. I like it.

I like it! Throw a comparison pic with the other tank.
I also have springer envy. I want to come down to Hamilton soon and have a look at your bike in person. Maybe once the spring salt is gone I'll ride my chop down...

It's really hard to say. I like the flow better with the alien tank, but I like the Wassell too.
I'm not a big fan of the Frisco mount tanks (just my personal preference). If it was mine I'd drop the Wassell tank down onto the backbone and have another look at it.

The wassell would need the front mounts cut off in order to drop it down. I have contemplated it. The Alieen sits lower in the back bone but I will have to add a rear bung for the tap, so I can use the whole tank. Plus the wassell has a pin hole that is driving me nuts.

I'm still really on the fence. Lol

Alien for me. The Wassel seems to lie on top of the backbone, not flowing very nice with the rest of the bike. Plus it has a leak!! lol!!:D

Yeah I hear ya. It's just that I will need to weld both. A new bung on the alien or repair the wassell.

I think the alien wins just for the offset cap that allows me to full up when parked. Besides I can resell the wassell for more even when in need of repair.

If that top tube went longer into the front the seat hide the junction and the seatstays were narrower then slowly followed the arc of the seat and then had the hard bend at the wheel.....that'd be sexy.
IMO

Unfortunately it was a tc brothers hardtail that comes that way. When I started this bike I couldn't do my own fab work. Now totally different story, but I have no workshop to build the nw frame ;)
