Gentlemen-

I've changed gears and am focusing on off-road racing more these days.... Therefore my XS650 project is going for sale. I spared no expense and it has an incredible parts list.

There are a lot of hand made little brass parts and other unique features to this bike.

Here's the details:

XS1 Motor with the following:
Completely rebuilt motor
Hoos Racing JE 700 Big Bore Kit
Shell #1 Cam
Hoos Racing Kibble Springs w/ Titanium Tops
New Lectron Flat Slide Carbs w/ Appropriate 1-2XL Metering Rods
Split Intake
XS650 Charge PMA Kit
Custom clear clutch cover, and modified side covers.
And many other little things....

Buchannan built the wheels:

Polished XS1 drum brakes
Real Akront 23" rims
Stainless spokes and nipples
21" knobby tires
Lathe turned solid brass spacers

Frame has been wish-boned in the front to clear the small Indian tank. It has a Bird curved hardtail kit. The kit was modified to look better and eliminated the gussets by lathe turning solid slugs to sleeve the tubing. A crossmember was built and sleeved as well. The fork have a 3" Hughs drop kit and shaved and polished legs. Also it has all ballz tapered neck bearings.

The fender is a custom made for the 23" tire. The bike comes with a fender strut kit as well.

Custom "Mustache" handle bars.

Lether seat made by a fellow XS650 forum member held in place by a leaf spring all with custom brass bushings, hardware and aluminum bracket.

Vintage copper headlight and brass / aluminum mount.

Reverse levers for brake and clutch

Solid brass pegs, kicker, shift lever (from a old project, but look awesome when polished)

Old fire extinguished to hold mini battery and other electronics with custom billet aluminum mounts.

Soooooo much more.... I have a bunch of parts.... TC bros exhuast kit, antique brass tail light, your choice of brass or copper headlight, spare brass and stainless hardware, etc. Another box of parts with little things like: kickstand, sprocket, etc.

The bike is almost done, just needs a little love to get it up and running. It has a clear KS title.

Feel free to shoot me a PM and I'll give you my number, we can talk.

$2500

"Incredible build...which I could take it on. Would love to have that in my collection!"

Just do it!! Then you could sell me your current bike! ;-)

awesome build, good luck with the sale!!

Do you offer clutch cover services?? I would LOVE to have that clutch cover!!!

Thanks guys. It looks waaaay better in person. There are a bunch of little things that I made on the bridgeport and lathe that add to a lot of style.

Parting it out is not an option.

If someone can see the direction I was headed with this one and finish it, they will have an awesome bike on their hands. The only parts needed are small things like a chain, basic wiring (XS1 motors are kick start only), throttle assembly and some hardware. Polish the aluminum fender, paint the frame and tank and you'll be done with one heck of a ride....

Will be traveling through Kansas early april with the van...........

Gary-

I have a sale pending at the moment with a somewhat local guy. He is supposed to pick it up this weekend. I'll keep all interested parties posted on the progress.

Thanks!

I'd be happy to purchase the bike if your local sale falls through. Please contact me at taylorpagerobinson@gmail.com or by phone at 619 988-7433
I will buy it sight unseen no questions asked. I've been looking for a brass bobber for quite some time. This is like a dream come true. I'll even give you $2750 for it.
I'm in Texas have a youship account and can have someone pick it up in a matter of days.
P.S. I am a Handbuilt Motorcycle Show exhibitor and would take this bike to shows around the country.
