Brat Kit vs. stock for travelling

Very handsome indeed! You say that is done with a Brat Kit? Looks more like a Brit Kit because of the semblance to cafe' racers at this point. You are an excellent example of why I joined this list. It's the boldness, the creativity, and all that kinda stuff ya got here.

Hi Aiewolfe, I got my package with the Monstercraftsmann rear subframe today. Namazu is stripped to the engine and rolling chassis, my hand grinder is rarin' to go. But you say you have some regrets about that setup. Got any pictures? I' like to know more about what you find regrettable.

It's a lovely bit of kit, worth every penny IMO!

I love my brat, but as there is only one seat, I can't take the missus out on my most significant achievement ever! I would have liked her to enjoy the bike with me. She will most certainly not ride it herself, so no sharing there! That is the only regret I have on the mod.

I haven't ridden it yet so I can't comment on how it rides. It will happen soon though!!:bike::D

Here's a pic of my beauty!!

Hot Dayum! What a wonderous sight to feast me eyes on after a full day of wrenchin'.
I pulled the engine this morning, am puzzling the clutch back together now. We should ride, man. I know you are in the UK and I am in New Jersey, it'd be worth the trip!
BTW what size shocks are those?

Hehe thanks man! Made me smile!

It would be a bit of a trip!:yikes:

Shocks are standard size for an 81

where did you get the light?
how much are they these days?
the last time I looked at them they were a few hundred dollars a piece.
My bratish style travels just fine. just no 2 up riding after the chop n back seat.

Carbon and Wannaberidin, I haven't forgotten about the light critique. Weather hasn't been good enough here in WA to test the night performance yet, but I can tell you it's no spotlight. The low beam is sweet, though; a ring of white LED's that do just fine with a little ambient street light to help. The high beam engages all the diodes and the brightness is somewhere between a halogen low beam and high beam. Not quite enough to shoot a laser down a country road but certainly enough to ride safely.

I'll still post photos once I get a clear night.
