Parting out a "complete" 80 "barn/field find" mag, disk brake rear, special, I just cut a chunk out of the frame for a member here. Clock shows 12K which might be right? Engine kicks free with 100+ compression "by the leg guess" method. Can check further if anyone is interested. Forks are straight but have rust above the slide area. I'll post up some pics later. brass float BS34's, slides and throttle shafts move free. Full set of engine mounts, Haven't tested the TCI yet, I'll assume something is amiss with the charging system, found a jumper wire from the coil to the headlight, LOL.

see pics over at Gary's used parts emporium in the shops section.

OK I just had to do a bit of snooping, charged the battery, jumpered the iggy switch, stuck the starter button back in the housing pushed it and it cranked over with spark. Huffed a bit of carb cleaner in the carbs and it popped off and ran! Then I got out the compression tester and got 153 on the right and 156 on the left with the kick starter. I think its a healthy motor. I'll do a head bolt re-torque. Oil was very clean, thick and had no gas odor.

Let me chew on that. Hate taking apart complete wheels and the wheel is about scrap once that bushing is gone.

You know they are available new?
See this thread for details.

No not huge. You need the caliper, carrier, the LH axle spacer, either move and weld a tab on your drum swing arm or source a disc swing arm. You also need the MC, brake lines torque link and the disc style brake pedal shaft. You will need to weld MC mounts to the frame, it's been done many times.

I do have the rear caliper. Do you need the carrier or any other rear brake parts also? These are old midwest parts, the caliper will need rebuilding, probably a new piston.... I may have a better one in the parts bins but anything I have would need rebuilding.
Please email me.

WER; It's in the van be sure to ask me for it this weekend.
ALL: I'll taking the van down to the Mountain View rally, I can bring almost anything, anywhere between Wisconsin and Arkansas is fair game.........

They were pretty beat up, I cut the mufflers off the headers which are also quite road rashed.

How about the airbox and filter assembly with breather hoses and mounting hardware? Basically the entire stock intake before the carbs is what I need.

Yeah I can do that. I'll pull a set together, shoot some pics. will be Monday or Tuesday.
