Tall Riders

link

Better too tall than too short.

Im 5' 11", and on my stock wheel base chop, Ide consider myself looking like a monkey fu%%ing a football. A bike with more stretch would look more in proportion to a "tall drink of water".
How tall we talking?

Well, im 6'2" which is one of the reasons im asking. As far as a stock XS goes im pretty tall but i wasnt sure how akward it would be on a choppped/extended build with a few inches of length added and stuff.

I'm 6'4" and way to tall for mine when it was a cafe. I'm building it for more of a tracker feel. Maybe I'll have some more room. My knees never bothered me just my back.

Yeah, i figured if i left it stock or did a cafe built it would be way to small which is why i kind of ruled those out a while back. More curious as to how it would be with the seat moved down and back. I wouldnt be doing any particularly long rides or anything.

I'm 5 11 or so and I find my near stock 74 hard on the knees after a while. When I get the seat redone I will add some foam to it. Even my versys I installed one inch peg lowering brackets.

Riding the specials it is a better fit if I sit on the hump.
The standards with the flat seat profile aren't a problem.

I'm 6'5 with a rigid 650 with mid controls, and a cafe 650 and while I'm sure I look like a gorilla riding a tricycle I am perfectly comfortable....or as comfortable as you can be on a rigid.

6-3 on stockers is fine by me. Better than some sport tourers I've owned (briefly!) Superbike bars help my position on the stockers. My aching knees come and go. They can ache even on the big bike. Had to give up on Gixxers long ago. Like WER says you end up on the hump on specials.

lol! I'm a 6'4" fellow gorilla. I feel you pain. Mine is set up scramberish with 13" shocks and a bar riser. It's pretty comfortable all things considered. The plan is to go street tracker so I guess I'll find out how gorilla's fit on trackers.
