I finally decided to insure my bike ,got a rate of $450/yr.Is that ok Tryed to get vintage
insurance but to many restrictions, price was good though at $350.Anyone get better rates than these in Ont,if so with who.I have a couple tickets so my rates reflect that.

I only pay $80 here in Calgary. That's with Western Direct Insurance.

If you are young and with tickets......................sure that will cost you more.

Being of a mature age and 47 years accident free probably keeps my rates low.

As I discovered most insurance companies will not insure a bike over 30 years old in Ontario. As a consequence I ended up having all my insurance (home, 2 autos, 3 bikes) with one firm and my 1980 XS with Wawanesa who charge $494 (perfect record, almost forty years riding). This would drop to $380 if I switched my autos to Wawanesa but that attracts other issues. Insurance is frustrating (and pricey).

I pay $1400 a year with desjardin. Especially in Ontario, I woudn't complain. I was quoted $8500 by TD

I am over 65 and paying about 1200 a year for 08 V Strom. Have not yet had a sreeetable XS yet to check those rates.

I'm paying just over $700/yr for an 83. Ripoff rates, but just glad I was able to find a company willing to insure it. I got it through Intact insurance.

The Dalton Timmis agency in Burlington seems reasonable.

I didn't think that was too bad either, considering all the other quotes were in the six to eight hundred dollar range. I am 50 years old, 1 car accident, got my M license at 16, insured ever since, except for last year I never rode the 650 so I took the insurance off the bike. This year i decided to ride the bike again and called my insurance company TD Insurance to renew my policy and they wouldn't cover me because the bike is over 30 years old. I wouldn't want to be 16 with a sport bike looking for insurance.

This is my second season riding.

I consider myself very lucky with my insurance. I had a W650 insured for the same price as well. Only positive things to say about Desjardin.
