Can Anyone Help Identify This Cam

I just bought a large lot of parts from an estate sale and am slowly sorting through everything.

I was told the owner passed several years ago, had a full fab shop in the back of his house, and apparently flat tracked Yamaha 650/500s, worked on Ferraris, and gun smithed; there was some pretty cool stuff....

Anyway, sorting through several stock '447' cams I came across the one pictured.

I haven't had a chance to mic it yet but it definitely appears to have more lift and possibly more duration than stock cams.

It has '25060-34' and '1-5' stamped in it as well as what appears to be '6ob', 'D', and 'ED' written on it in yellow paint pen.

The '250' made me think it might a Megacycles grind as their XS650 cam models begin with that prefix, but after checking their catalog, their grinds stop at '25050'; they have no '25060'.

Any theories or information would be appreciated, thanks.

Contact Megacycle,it appears to be hard welded looking at the lopes,could of been a experimental cam or a one off custom grind.

The 60 grind was something Megacycle offered years ago as a full race cam. Probably best suited for drag racing or the sale flats. A couple of guys tried them for road racing but the mid-range was compromised too much.

I was hoping to avoid calling as I'm sure Barabara will be less than enthusiastic about taking the time to answer questions about some potentially obscure old grind they may or may not have done.

I appreciate the tip about it possibly being an older 'full race' grind.

I'll try and mic it this weekend and see what the specs end up as.
