Ardcore stole money and now i'm out a hardtail

*UPDATE*

A few minutes ago I received an e-mail from Jon.

"We have dropped the ball and I do apologize. Your order was mistakenly marked as shipped in the first week of April on our end as we discussed in our last email exchange. I did the research and as you know the order did not ship. With that being said, if you still want it I will ship it with the batch of orders going out end of this week beginning of next week."

I'm glad and happy he had finally replied, I really hope he pulls through and gets this thing shipped to me this week. I had requested shipping info the day it goes out. We'll see what happens, it will restore some of my faith in Ardcore if/when I receive the product.

Maybe ardcore happened to see this thread :)
Anyways hope all goes well and he gets it to ya, but i would move on to another company from now on!

That email you quoted is full of lies. Period. Just get your money back.
1. If he's shipping hardtails in "batches" I'll eat my socks. The XS market isn't there.
2. By the end of the week....really. You'd think he'd just ship the one he marked shipped to you. right? Where'd that one go?
3. He didn't respond till he was forced to by paypal.

I've built frames, a-arms, swing arms or the like since high school in the late 80's and I've seen this time and time again. I've seen it in the ATV market especially. A mechanically talented person who doesn't have the capital to start a business.

I'm keeping my claim open with paypal until I receive it or if I do. Either way I will get the hardtail or my money. If I do end up just getting my money back I will purchase a Voodoo that day @jdizon. I'm done waiting to ride my bike, I will have the wind in my face one way or another before September

I'll chime in on this, I had the same problem with them. Ordered it, and was expecting a long wait 6-8 weeks. Took way longer, had to email them, leave a phone mess and open a case with paypal. Also did the same and started a thread on here. It wasnt until the paypal case and thread were started that I got a response. Once he did contact me, I did receive the hardtail in a timely fashion. Gave me the same song and dance about "batches" too. thats my :twocents::D

Well if that's true at least I'll get what I wanted and ordered in the first place. Needs to knock that shit off if he wants to rebuild his reputation. Might need to get some more help at the shop. From what I heard, everyone left i think. Not sure if its true or not though

I did some digging, for reference: i placed my order Aug 8th last year, I finally got a response Dec 5th( i did get tracking info as well) and the tail on the 9th. you're right, if he expects/wants more business he is going to have to make some changes. its too bad because, like you, that was the hardtail i had envisioned and was originally ok with longer wait time, it just was a little extreme.:banghead:

Yeah 6 weeks turned into 6 months really quick, the end of the week is coming and he basically has until the 16th to send it to me otherwise paypal takes over or w/e happens. I just need to find a cole foster bobber tank and some brass grips and foot pegs and possibly a brass speedo and i'll be ready to roll basically

You gotta think that the amount of time the guy spends on dealing with e-mail responses, phone calls, dealing with paypal disputes could be better spent working on making product and filling orders.

I have been thinking for a while that I would be making a brat bobber with a Monstercraftsman Brat Kit, but I've been toying with the idea of a hardtail instead. With the hardtails I've seen, I like the look & lines of the Ardcore the best...I've wanted to order, but have been hesitant based on hearing about his missed time frames.

Idk man, I feel like he shouldn't give out 4-6 week lead times if they aren't going to be honored. I agree with you though, the look of the Ardcore one had me, I think it has something to do with the drop seat.

I actually sent a somewhat threatening g email to them and finally got a response today. He claims he is way behind on orders and doesn't have the manpower to keep up. He said he was going to cut my neck out of the frame that he stated and refund my $500 deposit. I wouldn't recommend ever purchasing anything from this guy!!
I am going to give it a couple weeks before I make a trip up there and find my neck and money myself.

*UPDATE*

Well apparently I got shipping info and paypal shared that with me but i'm a little confused and thrown off by it though.... It's supposedly being shipped USPS. Which seems odd to me, to the people who did receive their hardtail from him or anything really I guess, did he ship it USPS or something else? Idk it just seems odd to me that a DIY weld on Hardtail is being shipped through that, would of figured UPS or FedEx or something else.

I just shipped a tcbros hardtail to MN for 19.84 using USPS Priority mail and I recently shipped a frame loop via USPS too and it was a good price also. I ship alot of items and i compare and USPS to others and i find in the majority of time the USPS is typically the best price for me

coulda just posted you wanted a hardtail on the classifieds i have at least 2 frames an one hardtail looped david bird i coulda let a buy. theres alot of us xs650 guys out in tha ab
