Leslie's Tracker Build

Leslie that is a beautiful bike. It would be a shame to part her. Whats next? A stoppie is the opposite of a wheelie. Using the front brake so hard the back wheel is in the air as you roll to a stop.

I see above now your next plans. I could not find your listing on ebay uk

the sad fact is she is probably worth more parted than whole.

Leslie

You are right Leslie and it applies to 99% of all XS650 builds. XS650's built to the quality levels of yours,Pregrids,Johngoodenenoughs make me sometimes wish I had seen my tracker through, but the money still needing to be spent to finish to my original vision, it just didn't made sense for me. I sold it for 50cents on the dollar. 3 days later that same money was put towards a new snowmobile. To some even less sensible, but to me infinitely more fun than a 3rd motorcycle.

Hi Leslie,
Sorry to see your bike for sale.
What did you say to me when you saw mine??? Don't do it. Haha

I haven't sold it and still got it. I put it up under parts and put the buy it now on to keep the ebay wankers away.
I only had a couple of low ball offers, but again wasn't prepared to give it away for less than £3k and yours should be way more.
But I also can't bring myself to part it out. May do it for a rebuild one day and rather eat beans on toast for a while so I can keep it.

If anyone one was wondering, leslies bike popped up on ebay a week ago in a bit of a sorry state. My wife bought it as suprise anniversary present and I will be taking it down a cafe route :)

Please dont get me wrong, I bought it because your engineering work and upgrades on front forks and rear swingarm where exceptional, sorry state being the cafe racer tail and that its filthy from being stuck in a garage for 2 years. Carbs also need work. But I can see the potential :) I did email you a week ago to ask if I could ring you one day when you free to ask about what you found/did with the engine...but thanks again for creating this as will be enjoyed thoroughly by me. Love the fireblade :)

Thanks Sir

Currently battling a snow storm in the falklands for next two weeks. But will definitely give you a call. Fetching it on the 30th Jul, will call that evening :) thanks again appreciate your time.
