Now if only someone would design a fixture to hold an engine upside down so we can stop stealing milk crates from the market!

The 5 and seven eighths and the 5 and a half dimensions don't make sense, that's 3 eighths of an inch above the hole centre to the top of the piece.

Bob I think they forgot the 1/4" thickness of the angle. Look at the smaller leg.

A friend of mine built a stand similar to this one for rebuilding MX engines. It works very well. It allow him to spin it upside down and redo top ends.

I must say bergoff that your friend did a great job. I have once tried to build the stand like this, but was unfortunately unsuccessful.
