Well Things didn't work out for me this year like I had hoped. I normally show my Chopper at this event and was hoping to have two bikes to show this year. I was targeting the metric class as in years past competition has been sparse, that was not the case this year. There was a few british, as well as japanese makes present. Actually glad to see that they had a descent showing as it allows me to easily write off my own lack of participation this year.

Hopefully next year I can take my stab at getting two different class entries.

without further ado, pics. Sorry for some of the odd angle shots, there was clusters of people pretty much everywhere making it less than perfect to get shots off.

Pretty sure thats it. I didn't take pics of everything, more of my own interest was in the swap meet portion of the event. I managed to get some tools, a few helmets, a mikuni VM for a sportster, and some other things. Was hoping to find a xs750 tank, but no dice on that.

Thanks for going to all the work of taking the shots and putting them up on the board.

Anyone who gets any bit of amusement out of it is more than welcome.

I'm not a fan of all the bikes posted, and there are a good deal more not posted, I just wanted to offer a sample of those that were present.

For a simple instance I'm not a fan of the big wheels or fat rear tires, so that didn't get the due representation it should. Its a huge fad right now, and not one of my liking. I would rather see a unrestored bike than a faddish custom personally.

I've been up there a couple times. They seem to pick the dates when the weather can't get much worse.
Driving there and back in blizzard conditions ain't much fun. Once your there and inside it's ok. There are some very cool bikes on display.
Why can't they do it in late March or early April.

Its our respite from the winter. This is the event for those of us living in those conditions that have to park them...

On a critical end of things I must say I was disappointed in the blue and silver XS, not for any of its styling points necessarily. I was saddened by the lack of a brake light, license plate holder, and battery. Indeed the coil was sitting unmounted in the battery box...

I would also point out that if you bring a guest for the two days, its worth it to enter a bike regardless of condition. they have classes for everything from stock to full custom, and its ~$40 to enter a bike and that gives you passes for two for two days, and allows you to bring a cooler as a contributor. Entry for myself and the girlfriend was $30 for the one day...

last year I managed to nab second for sportster full custom and that covered me and the girl for both days with a little left over to offset gas...

(and I look like I have a huge gut in this pic now that I look at it, LOL!)
