Whats the lowest profile skinniest helmet out there ?

I like my LS2...super light weight, very easy to get on/off and comfortable...but yes, it is a little "bulbous"...ha ha. It's my regular lid for the XS...weather permitting that is. Otherwise, I where an older shoei RF1000...

When I ride my sportbike, I only wear a full face (Shoei Modular/flip up), and that's the bike I take on longer, more spirited rides. Somehow, I just feel vulnerable on the Interstates with just a 3/4 helmet.

Here's my "bulbous" no-name Asian knock off flip visor 3/4.

It's almost as big as my tank.

Which means I have at least a 2-1/2 gallon head...

actually thats a good looking helmet 2M . looks like good coverage for the face and excellent visibility .

Looks like I'm stuck with my LS2 for the time being ...although I've seen a cheap Tiawanese helmet that looks near what I'm looking for but the postage and import duty would sour the deal

now that IS low profile lol

Might as well shave your head and paint it on your skull :D

Surely that can't be legal ....is it ?

actually I was thinking something more like this ....
Most helmets tuck under at the neck which makes your head look like a football . I've seen a few helmets in videos that have straight sides but can't find a makers name of one.

Those Germans are so thorough...I crashed an SR500 back in the early 90's. I was lucky it was a full face helmet...

The "Biltwell Bonanza" helmet has straighter sides.
Easier to get on/off.

A Google search of "low profile 3/4 helmet" gets lots of pics...

yes I did notice the Biltwell range but they are way beyond my budget regretably.

For those of you who only use the tiny helmet for tooling around town but where something more out on the road kinda have it backwards. Around town at lower speeds is when you are most apt to have a crash.

+1 XSLeo. You only have to google, "% of crashes in relation to distance from Home" to realize the about face of the safety of "just going down to the store" or "a short ride" in relation to open face helmets = full face helmets.

And please .............to actually state and worry that it "might make your head look like a plum" as the reason for not buying a certain type of safety gear then maybe the whole project should be re-assessed

looks like several places in the UK have the Bonanza helmet for <£80 -- if that's more than what you have budgeted against your only chance at not ending up with a closed head injury, I don't know what to tell you.

Anything you can get for less than that is going to offer zero protection of any kind.
