For folks in the greater Toronto area looking to get some vapour blasting done, just got some parts back from Rocket Performance (no affiliation) in Whitby. This weekend we're supposed to be getting something called a polar vortex, damn! No winter, now no spring!

Yes, bare metal. I had removed all the studs prior to being blasted so there was some grit in the stud holes. I washed all parts in hot water followed by a compressed air blow dry. Brian @ Rocket charges $70/hr and all three parts totaled 1.5 hours.
 
That's a freaking bargain. If it wasn't in Toronto, I'd be shipping my stuff over by yesterday.

You going to have these painted? Or leave as is?

I wonder about the pro vs. cons about leaving it bare.

Check out the exchange rate, that's Canadian dollars. In greenbacks its a real bargin!
How do we canucks like our cheap gasoline now?

I think I'm going to leave them as is, although I'd be interested hearing the pros and cons of painting.
