Bike has just come together, so I'm taking short shake down rides. Engine was a full rebuild and bored out to 750. BS34 carbs. Drag pipes. Kick only and running a capacitor.

The bike is running well ( swapping out VM34s to BS34s made a major difference ) other than in the short runs I've been doing it has noticeably been cutting out on downshifting.

I'm riding like an old woman while we get used to each other, but at least half a dozen times now on slowing to a corner and downshifting, it's cut out. Mostly I catch it and it bump starts, but a couple of times I've had to paddle to the side of the road and kick it started again.

Anything obvious I should be looking at ? Thanks in advance.

The sparks are probably a little black, but not coated. The carbs are off a running bike and are eyeball synched, for what's that's worth. It's my first build, so there's a good change they are out. I'll read up some more.

Idle is between 1000-1500.

Thanks Growl and Nonclow. I'll head out and do just that. I haven't set the mixture since I put the carbs on so I'll go out and set them properly. I'll have a read of the carbguide again and take a cup of tea with me.
