Buchanan - Yay or Nay?

So i need some custom lacing done. Buchanan seems to be the way to go but after some research im not so sure. How has everyones experience here been. Before i even consider dropping $500 on some spokes and labor i need to have some idea of whats ahead. Any help or advice would be great. Keep in mind this is for custom spokes, not stock length. Thanks!
 
what rim, hub are you doing? I have a some custom buchanon built wheels, they look awesome.
 
I'm dealing with an Italian company that is offering chrome spokes in 5mm length increments. I have 2 more of their rims on order but haven't tried their spokes yet.
