Ahh! Well remembered! Nope, I'm not going for the strap. The tank will bolt direct and I'm keeping the backbone clean. With any luck frame and tins will get dropped off at paint tomorrow

I'm going to leave the wheels polished aluminium at the mo. I can always paint them later. I'd rather put paint on than take it off

Got the forks de-tabbed and in primer, engine washed and waiting patiently for its frame. I also dropped the fork yokes and a handful of brackets off at the powder coaters. I took the seat to the guy who does all my upholstery and we decided on a brown leather, diamond quilted stitching and black piping on the join

Yep, we are. Another couple of weeks and all the bits should be back. Which works out canny, as we're off round Scotland next week. So got some gravel practice in tonight

That's the forks finished in satin black. It took a few runs to get the radius perfect after cutting the mudguard hangers off. Pleased with the result

I love chrome. Might I suggest baking the spring in the oven @350°F for about an hour. It's a hydrogen embrittlement thing...
