I went for a satin black and looks fantastic. The guy I use never skimps on the powder either so it always comes back nice and thick, but not too thick
So a 2 minute look at the forum ended up being 2 hours working my way through your superb build, amazing quality, just fantastic. But I now feel like I am waiting for the next episode of Game of Thrones to come as I wait to see the paintwork and the finished build!
Thank you for the kind words - much appreciated! Lol Game of Thrones, I'll take that as a compliment (never seen it ) The links to the bobber and cafe builds are on the first page of this thread, which are equally as long, so apologies if they consume more of your time Yes, I must admit I haven't posted much as I expect the frame and tins back this week along with the seat, so fingers crossed
So, today, I could finally get underway with the rebuild. I picked the frame and seat up this morning
The tank and tins weren't quite ready, so I've left the till Wednesday - no point rushing now.
The candy red colour is exactly what I was going for and I'm very impressed with it. The iPhone photos don't really do it justice. I am as equally impressed with the seat. Again, exactly the look I was going for
I've got the engine in today, which was very tricky not to catch the fresh paint and also the front end. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have It on its feet with the wiring fished through the frame.
So, some more done today. Got the front end finished off, carbs on, clutch and both braking systems fitted and bled, footpegs and brake, gear shift linkeages done, welding wire fished through the frame, seat on, oil in, plugs changed, side stand and bump fitted. Now for the tins
