XS650 Thermometer-Dipsticks

Because I'm an American.
Heiden Tuning makes a Celsius XS650 dipstick-thermometer.

WTF, not the kind of answer I expected, if you divided the world up into metric and imperial customers, had prospective customers from the metric 50% of your overall market and replied to them with that.......
1/ you would piss off 1/2 of them
2/ you've just sent them to the opposition

I did work in North America for two years, my role as Global Technical Director of an Australian company which imported composite bolts for the mining and civil engineering markets, this was very competitive. I had to go to many meetings where I had to convert on the spot, metric to imperial.
I was never asked to make the products in imperial, it was just accepted......certainly never would tell my market to go and purchase shipping containers loaded with Australian composite bolts from another company.........

if "Celsius dipdticks were available"?.....well they are, i kinda liked to support other members businesses though, see where that got me Ha!

It's more like something i don't need anyway, as the bikes been running for 40 + years without one, we get bloody hot here, like you do in Texas, but I change my oil every 1600 kilometres / 1000 miles.....:):):):)....or is that every 1000 miles / 1600 kilometres?

1500.003 miles....it's taken all weekend to work that one out...., don't know about the 2 years though, I wonder how many kilometres that is per week? Better check ya dipstick 2M

Fuck it, I'll make my own one! Guess who has the you beaut, ducks nuts thermometer? Made in USA, same brand as yours dogbunny, mine is in metric degrees celsius... Funny that an American company makes these.....God bless America, we can all benefit from your lead.

Now where's the hammer to make it fit....

Had a look at the ones at the company you were suggesting dogbunny, thought that the American one was the better choice. Now surely you can find a way of sourcing the thermometers in centigrade for the other 50% of the world market......I am sure I would purchase one

I have zero desire to make mine in centigrade, besides, there is no need because Heiden has it covered.
I thought I was going to become the next Pamco Pete and that I would get rich from my ThermoDipSticks, but it turns out that they are very hard and time consuming to make, the mold-making material is expensive and the molds have a limited life, the thermometers are expensive, and the resin is expensive. At my current sales level I figure that I will use up my stock of thermometers in a year, at which time I will sing hallelujah and never make one again.
There is just one thing that has always bothered me about the whole thing: In Austin we have a big, very prestigious, national custom hand-built motorcycle show ( https://revivalcycles.com/pages/about-the-handbuilt-motorcycle-show held in conjunction with Moto GP), every year there are upwards of a dozen XS650s, and maybe one will have a ThermoDipStick. Most have the stock plastic dipstick. The XS650 is an extremely attractive engine, except for that plastic dipstick. I challenge you: is there anything-worse looking on the engine? At least with the stock early aluminum dipsticks you can polish them, or drill speed holes into them.
With mine or Heiden's you turn an aesthetic liability into an asset, so why don't you see them at bike shows?

I hope that's not the thermometer you plan on using... range is nowhere near being useful. And, you can't just use any length, the length has to be precise to also serve as a dipstick. The ones I get from Tel-Tru are a custom length made to my specifications, the sensor is silicone-coated for vibration resistance, and they aren't cheap. Likewise, I use high-temperature resin that also isn't cheap.
