For Sale - 6-Piece Finned Valve/Points Covers

PM sent back.

I'll check with my machinist and see what the price would be. It's certainly possible, but we'd likely have to wait for the next batch.

Just a few teasers for now.

machinist is still working out the fixtures and kinks of a 1st time part run. I can tell you now, the folks that are getting a set are getting a good deal. These take a lot of work to machine, so the price on the later lots will have to go up.

We're hoping to be done by the end of the week, as long as the fixtures are good. Fingers crossed so we can get Ranger his pieces for the buildoff!!

Covers are done! I'll be getting them shipped out today. Keep tuned for installed pictures from customers.

New pricing will have to go up as these sets were exploratory and future lots will require the development of fixtures to minimize touch labor. I'm expecting future prices to be $300 - $350. Please let me know your interest level.

Won't be long Gary, Ranger should have his in a day or two. Wannab has his engine apart so pics won't really do them justice.....wait Rangers engine is apart as well, lol. Hopefully one of the other buyers can help us out!

I had the top end of my engine apart for fitup, but that doesn't help much either... I can say that they fit up very nicely relative to the stockers. The interiors are not domed, as this would have required far too much extra machine time.

I've also looked into a few local foundaries that specialize in small batch (1000+ lbs) heats. I would need far more than 10 sets to hit this, so I can't even consider the price yet. Plus, we'll still have to have them machined afterwards. Maybe if we start getting some traction, casting would be an option.

i REALLY can't wait to see someone take these, paint them black and then polish the edges of the fins on a similarly painted motor. that's what I plan to do if/when I get a set!

oh damn thats nice!!! thanks for sharing!! i like that cerakote!!! i'm going to go all black but with polished/brushed fin edges.

does that cerakote come in gloss??

I am giving a lot of consideration to polishing fins as well. I talked to Figureaight about that yesterday.

You can check their website, because they are constantly coming up with new stuff, but last I knew they weren't doing gloss. I know about them as a gun coating. Very high temp and chemical resistant, which typically doesn't call for glosses. I know they're doing a lot of new stuff for engine finishes now though.

Can't wait to get it together!!

Polished edges w/ black covers and then ones with polished covers.

If I wasn't using the finned covers, I'd keep the covers polished to match the fin edges. VERY classy and custom IMO
